It’s a struggle to maintain a living while keeping your own sanity. You have to find a balance of responsibility and Freedom. Now to some the two are the same thing right? To others this is very much not the truth. Allow me to explain this the best way I can.

Being responsible is never fun and most of the time it cost more than it should to even accomplish the correct pattern for it. What is a Pattern? Best example of it would be Waking up at a steady time, getting ready for work, going to work, working, coming home, eating, relaxing for a moment, and last but not lest sleeping. Repeating this 4 – 5 days a week can become complicated on the mind to accept.  This really doesn’t account for any of the emotional content that goes into doing it.  Really it’s just the simplest way of putting things on a person. This doesn’t include family to deal with and it doesn’t factor in the excitement or depression you will account that DOES effect the pattern. Some days you will just not feel like working, or waking up but you will be forced to put that pressure on because without the patter you do not maintain your style of living or a factor for why you would want to even do it.

Now Freedom which is why we are doing the Responsible part is complicated because it holds no pattern for simplicity. Really what you do with your free time can be as complicated as you want it to be or as simple as you like it. Vacations can become better then your work day or it can be worse. However the idea of a vacation is supposed to be time to lower all that pressure that YOU WILL BUILD upon being responsible.

Why even go over any of this? What does it have at all to do with politics? I always look around at the world and the places we are in and I often wonder how do we deal with it? How do the politicians do the things they do? Wearing those suits and fantasy hair styles always makes me wonder what goes into the day of a man who has to stand for truth and justice? Does the president of the united states ever have a second to say ” Going to play some Nintendo for an hour and after that work on our relationship with Russia?”…. does it really work like that? I would think a family man who not only is responsible for running a country  but maintaining a good relationship with everyone MUST have it hard? He must do a great deal of thinking in a day and probably has problems sleeping to just say the least? Maybe a good book will come of it..but I can’t imagine it is an easy job?

05/07/2013 Getting around.. Logistics

Logistics in the world is a topic not many people I think really think about until it becomes an issue. My background with traveling and just general living has shown that most of my issues with logistics comes from not having to drive. Anyone from the great New York City area will tell you that having to drive is really not an issue (if you stay in the city). If New York has anything it is an excellent Public transportation service. Buses bring you to trains and trains bring you to buses and pretty much everything is walking distance after that.  Now leaving the city I have noticed most people (especially younger people) drive. They drive to get to the stores, public services, and so on. Without a license it does become far more complicated to get around.

Now me I am a pretty healthy guy and can probably make it to whatever spot I wanted to make it to on a bike. Not saying I can ride for more then 10 miles but if I really had to go anything below that I am sure I could and probably do it pretty comfortably.  This is yet another reason I enjoy keeping my healthy body going. Its a reliable, none costly way of getting around and pretty much everyone can do it. So when it comes to logistics I think it really becomes a question of how far  you want to go?

Now what I find interesting about this topic is how it works with everyone in the world today. The cost of gas and really just transportation in general is getting to the point that if you don’t make a particular level of money you aren’t going to get much out of any of it. The price of insurance on cars is outrageous, the price of gas is pretty ridiculous and really its a wonder how anyone pays for any of it. Most people I know are forced into having two jobs just so they have the up keep for keeping  a single car alone. While its good to have work and be working it tends to make me wonder why anyone would kill themselves for so much service when they can just as easily make the same amount of money and live in the city and pay less on transportation but probably more on everything else.

To me it seems like a evil cycle and one that can be cheated but the chances of it are EXTREMELY LOW.. I happen to be in one of those very LOW chances.. I work a job very close to my home, and manage everything from there. Yet I have to question how everyone is expected to do the same? I suppose it has something to do with economics on some level and probably a great deal more to do with job rates and just the planning of how to have any sort of lifestyle. However this is all a much deeper conversation then the one I am holding here… At least I think it is…
